Kidzbrains offers ONLINE and In-Person Bharatanatyam classes by experienced professional dancers Tutor team with excellent experience in teaching kids and adults. In-person classes are currently offered only at Chicago, Illinois, and Online- Live classes are well designed for students of all ages and all levels. Kidzbrains is dedicated in promoting Indian Dance form with high quality of teaching and at low cost.
Kidzbrains offers Bharatanatyam, Folk Dance and Contemporary art forms for the students.
Bharatnatyam is the Indian Classical Dance originating in Tamil Nadu, a southern state of India, and is one of India’s oldest and richest classical dances. Bharatanatyam is a dance that integrates music, rhythm, and emotion through one’s facial expressions.
Certifications:
Kidzbrains supports students in training and helping students to complete the degrees in Bharatanatyam offered by Alagappa University, Tamilnadu or Karnataka State Board – KSEEB – Bharatanatyam Junior/Senior/Vidvat Exams. We support students to appear for the exam and get certified- we teach both theory and practical syllabus.
Algappa University :
- Certificate in Bharatanatyam (1 to 3 years duration)
- Associate Degree in Bharatanatyam (1 year after certification)
- Diploma in Bharatanatyam (1 year after Associate Degree)
- B.A Degree in Bharatanatyam (1 year after Diploma)
Students enrolled in the above programs will take the requirement exams.
After the student has completed learning Adavus , Dance Marga will be taught ( asper the syllabus ). If student is willing can takeup the different level exams. also we teach and prepare students for Rangapravesha performance too.
Curriculum:
Our Classes are from Beginner’s level, Intermediate levels to advanced levels. Our curriculum is to train students to become versatile and all round performers starting to build a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam technique.
Course Details:
The course offered is from the beginners’ level to advanced levels. The student is first taught the basics of dance movements and are trained systematically with the essentials of the dance form thru a “Adavu”, hand movements, leg movements, basic slokams etc. starting with the kids learning levels the classes will move to intermediate and higher levels depending on their learning potential.
Pre-requisite:
Dance space with clear camera arrangement, practice dance dress, neatly dressed and the most important is Attention to the class and interest in learning.
Curriculum:
Each student will be shared the curriculum followed for the levels they are into and the progress will be communicated to parents are regular intervals and their performances are the right evaluations for their learning. Internal exams will be conducted, and the students will be moved to next levels (sublevels) to prepare them for the Grade level exams.
Performances:
Regular programs and exposure for kids to stage performances and recitals will be a great confidence builder for the small kids to exhibit their learning and this beautiful art form.
Duration at each level:
The learning is purely based on the student’s interest and potential. The average duration for each level would be 8-10 months. Various sub levels to get prepared to the Grade level exams.
