Mathematics is very important and its most critical skill to help young children develop their mathematical thinking starting from their early childhood stages. Mathematics plays a predominant role in the growth and development of the child. It helps the child to focus on the methodology on problem solving and getting to the solution for the problems, It sets the growth mindset, It boosts the confidence of the child in facing a situation and handling in future. Math is everything for the Child’s Everyday life.

As Parents and educators, it is our prime responsibility to make our child feel “Learning Maths is fun, Its Interesting, Its simple”, Instead of “Oh! Maths is difficult, I am not good at it!” We need to foster the positive attitude and comfort the learning process of our children.

We at Kidzbrains, concentrate on our student’s learning methodology and simplify their understanding with lots of visualization methods, practical approach. We follow the US common Core Curriculum and the State Curriculum. We have certified teachers to teach the syllabus. Math Competitions

Participation in Competitions is a great way to Condition the minds of the students. It is an excellent way to benchmark the performance of the students against themselves and also against the real time world. It helps us to know whether we are moving in the right direction of the learning curve. We would love our students to utilize this opportunity to have great learning and experience by participating in the mathematical contests.

Math Kangaroo Competition

Math Kangaroo is an International Mathematical Olympiad competition with more than 40 countries that take an active part in it. There are 12 levels of participation from Grade 1-12. The competition is held annually on the Third Thursday of March.

Math Kangaroo provides to all the participants to take part in the competition and receive a T-shirt, diploma and special memento, and the top winners from each level also look forward to special prizes. You most likely support Math Kangaroo’s vision of encouraging students to learn mathematics by presenting them with problems that are interesting and by rewarding their efforts.

What do we do at KIDZBRAINS for Math Kangaroo International Olympiad Competition?

  • We offer coaching for the students for the Math Kangaroo competition levels for Grades 1 – 4. Register here for the coaching. (Seats are limited).
  • We provide complete guidance for the students appearing for the competition registered through our center.
  • We co-ordinate for all the steps to be followed by the students for taking up the exam online after registering using our invitation code.

Math Kangaroo Competition – Rules, Features and Registration Details:

Features of the Competition

  • Math Kangaroo Competition is an international, once a year event, always on the third Thursday in March.
  • The Math Kangaroo competition held its first online format in 2020, as a response to address the COVID-19 situation. The online format of the exam will begin on this designated Thursday, and may continue over the course of days or weeks to accommodate the numbers of students that participate.
  • All students grades 1-12 qualify for participation in Math Kangaroo if they are able to work independently, read, and answer a multiple choice test.
  • Each student receives a T-shirt, an electronic certificate of participation, and a gift.
  • Pictures are taken and placed on our webpage or social media; you may request to opt-out during the registration process.
  • The competition questions are appropriate for the students’ age, and are both interesting and challenging.
  • Questions are chosen by the International Math Kangaroo Committee, AKSF (www.aksf.org).
  • In May (or later if the electronic tests take place) students who rank top 20 in the country and top 3 in a given state are recognized on Math Kangaroo website and receive gifts.

General Information about Math Kangaroo Competition

  • This Math Kangaroo Virtual Center offers the Math Kangaroo Competition test online. It can be taken from any location with Internet access. The competition will start on or after March 18th. Math Kangaroo will email detailed information about the testing window to each student before March 15th (Be sure to check your spam folders if you do not see the email on this date).
  • A student can be registered to this center as long as he/she resides in the state where the center is located.
    Math Kangaroo Office will send a T-shirt and a small gift directly to the address of a parent registering a student.
  • Math Kangaroo will ask each student to acknowledge (sign) the Math Kangaroo Honor Codebefore starting the online exam. The exam must be solved and questions answered alone by a student without any supervision. Study aids or resources are not allowed during the exam.
  • The regular registration fee is $21 between Sep 15 and Dec 15. A late registration fee is $35 between Dec 16 and Dec 31 (may be extended into a later date while supplies last). There is no registration cancelation or a refund offered after the registration.
  • Math Kangaroo offers financial assistance to families in hardship; please contact finance@mathkangaroo.orgto ask for assistance and provide appropriate proof of hardship.
